Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information 3rdGen Labs (“we”, “us”) collects through this website and through Command Center, our operations software for trades businesses, available at labs.3rdgen.io, and how we use and protect it.

Who this applies to

Command Center is used by businesses (our “customers”) to manage their own leads, clients, projects, crews and time records. For that data, our customer decides what goes in and we process it on their behalf. This policy also covers visitors to www.3rdgenlabs.com.

Information we collect

From website visitors

• What you send us through the beta or contact form: name, email, company, trade and your message.
• Basic, privacy-friendly usage data (pages viewed, approximate region, browser type) from our hosting provider.

From Command Center users

• Account details: name, work email, role and language preference.
• Business records our customers enter or import: leads, clients, contacts, projects, notes, photos and checklists.
• Crew time records: clock-in and clock-out times, job assignments and hours.
• Device data needed for notifications, such as push notification tokens.

From connected services

Customers can choose to connect other services. We only access what is needed for the feature they turn on:

• Gusto: company, employee and location details, pay schedules, and the ability to submit time sheets, so approved hours from Command Center can be sent to payroll. We do not access bank account numbers, Social Security numbers or tax documents, and we do not run payroll.
• Google (Calendar, Drive, Gmail): calendar events for scheduling, files the user chooses to store or attach to a project (for example, job photos), and email the user asks Command Center to read or send on their behalf.
• JobTread: jobs, customers and related project data, to keep records in sync.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain and support Command Center for our customers.
• To sync data with services a customer has connected, at their direction.
• To send the reminders and notifications users have turned on.
• To answer inquiries and, if you asked, contact you about the beta.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer data or data from connected services for advertising.

AI features

Some features use AI models from third-party providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) to draft records from things you paste or upload. Content is sent only to perform the feature you requested, is reviewed by you before it is saved, and is sent through API agreements that do not allow the provider to train models on it.

Google user data

Command Center’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI models.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Command Center, under agreements that limit their use of it: hosting and infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase), the connected services a customer chooses (Gusto, Google, JobTread), and AI providers for the features described above. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access tokens for connected services are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser. Access inside Command Center is limited by role, and sensitive fields are restricted to admins.

Retention and deletion

We keep customer data while the customer’s account is active. When a customer disconnects a service, we stop accessing it and delete the stored access tokens. Customers can ask us to export or delete their data at any time, and we will do so within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law.

Your choices

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing hello@3rdgenlabs.com. If your information is in Command Center because a business you work with uses it, we may refer your request to that business.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16.

Changes

If we make material changes we will update this page and the date above, and notify customers when appropriate.
